Started our day with a bike ride all the way around Central Park. It is HUGE! We each had a hired bike and off we went. The park is quite amazing and so lively and well maintained.
The next major event of the day was an "ultimate New York food tour". Starting in Greenwich Village we were taken past the many many eateries while our guide told us about some of the history of New York and the food and the culture. We tasted some delicious food from Italian to Indian to middle eastern. During the tour we wandered through Washington Park which was so interesting as it is right next to NYU so all the students and interesting people were just hanging around because it was such a beautiful day. Could have sat and people watched all day...but there was more food to be tasted! Very proud of our kids who were keen to try everything on offer - from Popsicles (icy poles gourmet style) to spicy falafels. We all loved every bite.
After our bellies were full we had a subway ride out to the Bronx to watch the Yankees play the Red Sox (baseball). Yankee Stadium is amazing. I don't think we are set to become huge baseball fans but the experience was fantastic. The mad Yankee fans, the stadium, the vendors selling the peanuts and cracker jacks, Billy Crystal in the crowd, marriage proposals, so much fun.
Another safe subway ride home and to bed.

You are certainly packing your day full
