Washington DC

Caught the metro into the mall. So much is located all in this central area. We intended to go on a walking tour but as the weather was a bit wet we headed straight to the Museum of Natural History. WOW! An amazing building with some truly amazing stuff inside it. After today I m not concerned at all about the kids having 2 weeks off school. My brain was full.

Afterwards we wandered down the mall to the Capitol building and then back up via the botanic garden building.

It is a beautiful city and even though it was a rainy day so many people were still out and about, exercising and exploring.

Flags at half mast today for Firefighters Day.
 
Short metro ride back to our Washington home for spag Bol and a quiet night resting up for more walking tomorrow.

    Oh my goodness Ann what did you first think of when you saw your accomodation? USA version of Being Human? Not exactly but close enough...
