Grand Canyon
Helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon! It was awesome. Flying in a helicopter is amazing on its own and to be doing it over the Grand Canyon totally amazing.
Cameron, Lilly and Ann had front seats!!
Afterwards we drove to Grand Canyon village for some lunch before doing a walk around part of the rim, with more spectacular views. We visited the desert view lookout where a spectacular lookout tower was built back in the 1930's. the tower itself is a work of art and the the views from it are also (again) spectacular.
Back to the hotel for a swim (kids) and hot tub (mum&dad) before dinner.
Superb day.

Cameron and Lily certainly had the best seats, the sensation of leaving the rim is never forgotten

Would you like me to do the same thing for you that you did for me? Very happy to do it, made such a difference when we got back.
Thank you for the offer but every thing is taken care of. Mitch and nat are popping in a couple of times a week to visit the fish and the chickens have gone on a holiday to the powers house.
ReplyDeleteThe walk to the bottom would be awesome but what goes down must come up!! No accommodation at the bottom unless you BYO which is what they recommend to do. The temperatures are about 10 degrees warmer down the bottom so fitter people than us have died on this walk
