Front Royal to Washington via Skyline Drive

Shenandoah National Park was our first stop this morning, to drive along the Skyline Drive. This is a road that passes through the park along a mountain ridge for 103 miles. It is fabulous this time of year with the leaves changing colour. The views were amazing. We stopped off for a bush walk to the highest peak of the park before driving on to Washington.

Washington fantastic and a chance to get my washing done! Ha! Seriously though the place that we have booked is fabulous and the washing machine is definitely getting a work out, as is the kitchen for some home cooked meals.
