Washington - New York - LA

An early start to get on the road again. The drive from Washington to New York was slow in parts as complete 4 lane highways were closed in the direction we were headed. Thank goodness again for our friend Tom Tom! And thank goodness we allowed plenty of time to get to the airport! The trip to 1 1/2 hours longer than it should have.

So after breathing a sigh of relief at arriving and handing over the hire car we caught our 6 hour flight to LA.

All up a big and tiring day of travel. Nice to arrive to our accommodation which is a guest room in a large LA house. Our host is lovely and is made us feel very welcome.
